Naukuchiatal - The Lake of Nine Corners in Uttaranchal

Naukuchiatal or the lake of nine corners in Uttaranchal is surrounded by green slopes and oak forests. This isolated lake is about 3, 996 ft above sea level. This is the deepest lake in the lake district of Nainital. Cradled by green mountains, this murky blue lake is fed by an underwater spring, which keeps its waters high.




People of Uttaranchal believe that one can attain NIRVANA, if they watch the nine corners of the lake from a single point. By Road
From Delhi, you can reach in Naukuchiatal within 8 hours. Naukuchiatal is about 300 km from delhi, 26 kms from Nainital, 97 kms from Binsar, 330 km from Dehradun and 4 km from Bhimtal.

By Rail
The nearest rail station is Kathgodam. It is about 30 kms away from Naukuchiatal.

By Air
Delhi is the nearest airport. The airport is 320 kms away from this place.
